    Very successful maiden ride for our functional sample: It overcame both the tilted path and the ramp!

    First tests very successful

    Our first tests of the functional sample have been very successful! The wheelchair managed to overcome two of the championship obstacles.

    One of the next important steps will be the assembly of the stair-climbing units.

    Functional sample assembly!

    The components for the functional sample have finally been delivered! Our project engineers and students are currently assembling the functional sample. It will be ready for first testing in June 2016.

    hmf Formenbau apprentice fabricates chassis

    HSR Enhanced and the company hmf Formenbau cooperate: Manuel Bieri, apprentice in the 4th year at hmf Formenbau, fabricates the central structural element as chassis of our race chair. This task will be the final thesis of Manuel’s apprenticeship as a Formenbauer EFZ. Manuel is supported by Sandro, our Bachelor’s student responsible for chassis development. With this cooperation, hmf Formenbau becomes a Silver Sponsor of HSR Enhanced. Thank you, and we are looking forward to the result!

    Concept decision taken!

    ILT project engineers and our five students have challenged each other with their concepts for the race wheelchair. The students have suggested a very innovative, yet riskier concept that would guarantee an original wheel chair. On the other hand, the ILT concept takes a more conservative approach, resulting in a less innovative but more reliable concept. By use of a decision-matrix method, the concepts were compared. It was a very close call: after a long and enriching discussion, the whole group decided in favor of the more reliable ILT concept. Next step: develop the functional prototype until May!
