    HSR Enhanced at Cybathlon Experience 2017

    HSR Enhanced plans to participate in the CYBATHLON EXPERIENCE that takes place at the RehaCare fair in Düsseldorf. From October 4th to 7th 2017, several show races in the disciplines wheelchair and exoskeleton will take place. At the RehaCare fair, about 40'000 visitors, 750 exhibitors and 250 journalists are expected. HSR Enhanced plans to participate in the wheelchair show races. The team is already working hard to achieve best possible results.

    HSR ENHANCED wins recognition award

    Project leader Christian Bermes received the FUTUR recognition award 2017 for his project HSR ENHANCED. The FUTUR foundation supports innovative product ideas with a high commercial potential with a main award and a recognition award. HSR Enhanced received the recognition award due to excellent teamwork and the high public visibility of the project from which the HSR will benefit.

    HSR Enhanced at the KMU Forum Obersee

    At the KMU Forum Obersee on Friday April 21th, Prof. Christian Bermes presented the Cybathlon Team HSR Enhanced. According to the focus of the Forum “tradition  – innovation – trends”, he spoke about the strategies and innovative approach that enabled HSR Enhanced to win the Powered Wheelchair Race at Cybathlon 2016.     Meet and Greet with the backers of our crowdfunding campaign

    In order to thank them for their support, four backers of our crowdfunding campaign were invited to a Meet and Greet with our pilot Florian. On Wednesday April 12th, they visited the HSR Enhanced team, got some background information on the HSR Enhanced project and on the technical development of the race-wheelchair. They also had the chance to test the wheelchair themselves on the course! Finally, they enjoyed a snack with the project team. We say thank you for your support, backers!

    New students for HSR Enhanced

    We are happy to welcome five Bachelor students to Cybathlon Team HSR Enhanced! They will initiate the participation of HSR Enhanced in the exoskeleton discipline by performing basic exoskeleton research in their thesis  work. Matthias will work on mechanisms for fast adaption of exoskeletons to a pilot’s body dimensions, Ivo and Marcel will assess the potential of a soft robotics exosuit, Sebastian's task is the development of an exoskeleton cockpit complete with input and output instruments and Aleksandar will develop an exoskeleton test-bench for safe and efficient experiments. We are happy to have you with us!
