ZED evolution now has a digital twin

Our bachelor student in mechanical engineering Fabian Nick has presented his project on building a digital twin of ZEDe.

The model is used to simulate electric components to find the best setup and test new components before deployment into the real machine.

Thank you to CADFEM for all the support and we wish Fabian all the best for his upcoming Thesis!

VariLeg and HSR enhanced at Swiss Handicap in Luzern

From 29.-30.11.2019 visitors at Swiss Handicap had the chance to see the exoskeleton VariLeg enhanced and the wheelchair ZED evolution by HSR enhanced. Both teams were at the booth of CYBATHLON and presented their race-exo and –wheelchair built for the CYBATHLON 2020 in Zürich.

Besides a static display of both prototypes, there were three demo-runs per day with the wheelchair tackling two CYBATHLON obstacles. The wheelchair was piloted by Florian Hauser, gold medalist at CYBATHLON 2016 in Zürich and at CYBATHLON Wheelchair Series 2019 in Kawasaki.

VariLeg enhanced was in the Tele1 news with an interview by exo-pilot Thomas Krieg and CYBATHLON-initiator Robert Riener (in German): http://www.tele1.ch/sendungen/1/Nachrichten#520760_6
